Today I'm featuring Little Amara Designs.

Lizette Natalie, the owner of Little Amara Designs, has a degree in Graphic Design and loves to create things!  Here's a little bit about her, in her own words:

"I also enjoy everything from photography to arts and crafts and anything else that will allow me to use my creativity. My love and passion have always been in the creative arts. For that reason you will often find listings in my shop for items such as crochet items, bows, accessories, etc. and I can't say that I don't put all my love and care into everything I do. I pay close attention to detail, customer satisfaction is my main goal."

Great Idea: Keep Calm!

Ok...
I'm jumping on the Bandwagon.
I've had this idea swimming around in my head for months, and I finally just got over my trepidations and got it done.
I'm now offering digital downloads of my latest creation in my shop!
Here is my take on what I like to call the "Keep Calm Phenom."

You can order this in my shop and then print it out on iron on transfer paper right from your computer to put on whatever you'd like!
I think it would be perfect on a project tote bag or shirt....and would make a great gift for the knit or crochet enthusiast!  (I'm having my hubby help my kids make me one for Christmas...Yeah.  It's kinda cheating.  But at least I know I'll like it! lol)

I have it available in several colors, too!

To order this from my shop, CLICK HERE to see the listing in my shop!
And if you'd like, you can download the file below FOR FREE, to add to your blog!

On a PC just right click and save the image to your desktop...or on a Mac hold the Option key as you click to save the image to your desktop.  Then just add it to your blog as a picture...or you can upload it to a photo site, like Photobucket, and save it as a button!

What's New: Testers for Boho Chic Headband

Here's another of my latest creations, The Boho Headband Headwrap!  I've been seeing these knit headbands around for quite some time, but seeing as I don't knit I had to figure out a crochet pattern to make my own!  What do you think?

So...I'm getting the pattern ready to sell in my shop, and I'm looking for some accomplished crocheters to TEST THE PATTERN FOR ME!!!  Who's in????

***If you are interested please leave me a comment on this post.  I need any pattern testers to be able to finish a hat in 2 or 3 days tops, and to be able to send me a picture (via e-mail) of your finished product, with any issues you had with the pattern.  Those chosen will get the final draft of the pattern for FREE to keep!!***

***EDITED:  I have enough testers now!  Thanks so much everyone!!  I'll be trying to get the finished pattern up on my site by next week!!  Thanks for all the support!!***

What's New: More Matryoshkas!

One of the items I've created for the Scandinavian Festival Craft Fair I'm attending tomorrow, are some more cute little Matryoshka Dolls!

Although these little sweeties aren't exactly Scandinavian per se, they give that same folksy feel that I always get when I go to events like this!

Here are my latest little ladies!

Each one is hand stitched and embroidered from start to finish, with little flower motifs!

Black Babushka with Hot Pink Dress

Baby Blue Babushka
with Denim Blue Dress
Soft Pink Babushka
with Dark Pink Dress

Turquoise Babushka
with Sage Green Dress

Kelly Green Babushka
with Turquoise Dress
I love how each doll has it's own personality...Maybe I should give them each names?  Katerina, Anya, Natasha, Sonya, Anastasia?  What do you think?

I'll definitely be making more of these...they're so fun!  And I'll be getting a listing up in in my shop sometime soon!  I'm also trying to figure how to make these into a pattern so others can make them, too!!

Have a great weekend, Everyone!!

What's New: Crochet Newsboy and Flapper Hat Patterns!

I've had lots of requests to the patterns I've used for some of my hats and other projects written up, and I'm happy to announce that I finally got to writing some of them out this past week!  After some testing and adjusting, they're done!!

I've now listed my patterns for The Flip Flapper and The Newsie in both my Etsy shop and on Ravelry!  Each of the patterns also comes with the pattern for the coordinating flowers (a 5-petal Layered Posie and the Button-On Bloom), shown in the pictures!  (I'm also planning on listing these patterns separately in my shop soon!)

Here's The Newsie:

And here's The Flip Flapper:

If you'd like to see my listings, just click the link in the caption of the pictures!

These patterns are for adult/teen sizes...but I'm working on getting children's/baby sizes written up as well! I'm pleased with how they turned out!

(And if you are not up to making a hat for yourself, I do have both of these listed in my shop as finished hats, too!  Here's the listing for The Newsie, and here's the one for The Flip Flapper!)

I'm also writing up a pattern for the Crocheted Caplet I made and for my Button Blossoms...so stay tuned!

Soooo....What's new with you this week?

What's New: Crocheted Caplet

This week I tried my hand at creating a caplet! It's sorta like a shawl, but not quite as lacy, and doesn't necessarily make me think of little old ladies.

(Not that there's anything wrong with little old ladies! I know and love many little old ladies! They are some of my very favorite people ever! I just don't want to look like one yet...especially since I'm 22 weeks pregnant. Just sayin'.)

Anyway....

Here's my creation:

It's really cozy without being bulky like a sweater, and it's easy to wear in different ways! It's got kind of a vintage look to it, which I love!

Here I'm wearing it paired with one of my Button Blossoms in Tangerine. Doesn't the color just make you happy?!?

The caplet hooks together with a simple cream colored button, and it can be worn with or without the flower pin. It's a great addition to a winter wardrobe, and would look cute worn over a cute Spring dress, too!

I'm hoping to get my act together enough to actually write down my pattern...since I sorta made it up as I was working...but I think it would be great in other colors, too!

Click here to see the listing for my latest creation! Go take a peek!

Happy Wednesday!
