Feature Friday: You!

Sorry about the delay in posting today....(and the fact that yesterday's post has disappeared!)  Blogger has apparently been working on some issues...that may or may not yet be resolved....Oy.
Anyway...
Today I wanted to send out a call for help!

In four weeks I'm going to be having a BABY!!!  I will be delivering via C-section (I've had two previously...so that's the only option from here on out!)
It's kinda nice to be able to KNOW exactly when this little one will be arriving, but there's also a lot of planning and prep that needs to happen.  Recovery time for a C-Section is six weeks.  Most of which you're not allowed to do even really simple things, like sweeping, or standing up to do the dishes, or walking up and down stairs.  I've been making sure things are organized and ready in the house, pre-cooking meals and freezing them for late, and arranging for people to help out with the other kids...
But...I haven't done anything to prepare my blog!
So, this is where YOU come in!!  I'm looking for some awesome people to help me out by guest posting during the first month of new baby time!  It's a way to keep my readers interested AND get you some more exposure!!

4 Weeks Left!

My kids have been asking why I haven't posted the pictures hubby took of me on Mother's Day yet....

I'll be honest.  There's a reason I haven't posted pictures of myself for the last little while.

I'm huge.  

And even though I'm not really super self-concious about my pregnant size, actually seeing it in photos is another thing.  It just kinda confirms what I'm already feeling.

But...I'm so happy to be able to be having this baby.  And even though there are all sorts of crazy things that happen to you and your body during pregnancy...I'll take them.  The end result is sooooo worth it. 

And sometimes it's really nice to know that even though I feel huge and I waddle everywhere I go, my other children (and my hubby) still think I'm beautiful, and they love me...even though I can't reach my toes right now.

So.  

Here are the pictures of me on Mother's Day.  I'm wearing the cute necklace and earrings the kids' gave me (they match these awesome yellow sandal heels I have...but can't wear right now, because my feet are so swollen...oh, well later in the summer, right??), and I even did my hair 'pretty' that day!

I didn't get an actual 'profile-shot' I guess.  But you get the idea!

Thanks again to my wonderful family for a great Mother's Day...and for making Mother's Day so much more meaningful to me!

Only four more weeks to go until baby #5 joins us!!!

Things to Make: A Square A Day In May ~ Block 8 ~ Wandith

I have to admit that this is NOT actually the eighth square for the month!  I cheated and used this square instead of the one that everyone else was doing, because I felt like this one suited my finished piece better.  The ACTUAL square is called On the Huh, and can be found here!

Things to Make: A Square A Day In May ~ Block 7 ~ Purple Passion Heart

I'm a couple days late posting this, but here's my next square for the the Square A Day event, happening at Hooked on Handmade!
This square is called Purple Passion Heart Square, and the pattern can be found HERE, if you are a Ravelry member!  
This was a very simple pattern, and went together really fast!  On this square I used a royal blue for the center.  I think this would a really sweet little baby blanket in pastels or super cute pillow covers for Valentine's Day!
